Terms & Conditions
Welcome to Staplehurst Tutoring. These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our services, designed to ensure a productive and transparent learning environment for both students and parents.
1. About Me
This website is operated by Harry Staplehurst, trading as Staplehurst Tutoring, an independent private tutor based in the UK. You can contact me at harry@staplehursttutoring.co.uk.
2. Tutoring Services
Enquiries: Submitting the contact form is not a contract. It's simply a way to get in touch. Sessions are only confirmed once we've agreed on arrangements by email or in writing.
Cancellations: I ask for at least 24 hours' notice if you need to cancel or reschedule a session. Sessions cancelled with less notice may be charged in full. I will always give you as much notice as possible if I need to cancel.
Payment: Payment terms (amount, frequency, and method) will be agreed before sessions begin and confirmed in writing.
Results: I will always do my best to support your child's progress, but I cannot guarantee specific exam results or outcomes. Exam results depend on a number of factors, including the motivation and effort of the student.
3. Digital Products
All products sold on this website are digital downloads, such as PDF worksheets and revision materials.
No refunds: All sales of digital products are final. Because digital content is delivered immediately and cannot be returned, I do not offer refunds once a purchase has been made. This is made clear on each product page before you buy.
This does not affect your statutory rights. If a product is faulty, not as described, or you are unable to access it due to a technical issue on my end, please contact me at harry@staplehursttutoring.co.uk and I will resolve it.
4. Your Personal Data (Privacy Notice)
When you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, and the year group of the student. When you make a purchase, I also collect the information necessary to process your order. I use this information solely to respond to your enquiry, arrange tutoring, or fulfil your purchase. I do not sell or share your data with third parties.
Your data is held securely and only for as long as necessary. Under UK GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing me. If you have concerns about how your data is handled, you can also contact the ICO (ico.org.uk).
5. Intellectual Property
All resources, worksheets, and content I create and sell on this site are my own work. You may use purchased materials for personal or educational use, but you may not reproduce, resell, or distribute them without my written permission.
6. Limitation of Liability
I take reasonable care in everything I provide, but this website and its content are offered in good faith without warranty. I am not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of my services or products beyond the amount you have paid.
7. Changes to these Terms
I may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page will reflect the latest version. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
8. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
